Halloween

Happy Halloween!

This year I was a cow, and I loved dressing up! For a week straight I would point to my costume and say, "moo" but when it was time to finally put it on I was a little freaked out at first. Don't worry, I had a couple of practice rounds wearing it, so by Halloween night I was ready to show all my friends my new look!

After watching all the kids go up and down the street, I decided I was missing out! I tried to escape several times, but didn't get far!

I loved seeing my friends and all of their interesting costumes!

It was a great Halloween!

17-18 months

Look out I'm changing so fast!

My parents love to play with me, but sometimes I'm sooo busy they need to rest to keep up! Speaking of resting, last week I decided to give up my morning nap...this wasn's the easiest transistion and quite honestly we're still trying to perfect our new routine. Most days I become very sleepy around 11 am, but as long as I have an activity around this time, I'm okay through lunch! I think by next month I'll be back to a normal routine (mommy hopes at least)!! For now though, I'm just testing myself and parents to see what I can handle...nap or no nap! :)

Babies, babies, babies!!!

I wake up and the first word out of my mouth is...baby! My babies go everywhere with me! I no longer carry around just one baby, but I have three that I am currently taking care of. After breakfast every morning, I race to the family room to gather up my babies and I begin loading and unloading them onto my chair or into the grocery cart. I sometimes stop to feed them, cover them with blankets or check to see if they need a hat. If we head to a different room or leave the house, I gather them up to take with me before leaving!

My mommy has learned that if we have a play-date or an outing of some sort, she must pack a baby for me! I'm struggling with the concept of sharing, so it's easier if I have exactly what I need instead of causing trouble with my friends! My parents are trying to teach me the importance of sharing, but this is sooo hard for me to understand! :(

We have had wonderful fall weather this year! We've spent a lot of time outside, in the backyard and going to the park. Now when we pass a playground I announce over and over, "WEEEE"!!

I love water! This month I discovered the water in the toilets...everyone quickly learned that the lids must be shut in order to keep me out! I've thrown a few treasures inside and also splashed around with my hands a time or two! In the tub, I now try to climb in before the water is ready and just last night I decided to give my babies a dip too!

This wasn't part of daddy's plan...sometimes they forget just how fast I am! :)

It's hard to remember all of my words, so just know that I love to jabber, listen to people talk and mimic everything I hear!

I'm getting so big!

16 months

Drooling mess...

Some might say I have a slight issue with drooling, but no worries because my teeth are finally coming in! The doctor said I'm cutting 4 teeth all at once!

I've been exploring my new house!

I adjusted right away to this new place and I think it's going to be the perfect home for my family!

Don't be fooled by my excitement towards bubbles...I'm actually not a fan! I love to shake and carry the bottle around outside, but the second someone decides to take the lid off and blow on the wand, I quickly get the shakes which leads to crying!

I'm on the move! After all these weeks of watching my friends get up and go, I've decided to make up for the time I spent just observing. Even if I'm waiting in my highchair or carseat, my legs never stop moving!

Now that I'm more balanced and sturdy, I've been trying out some of my new shoes!

15 months

This month I've become more interested in playing with my toys...

I am willing to share (sometimes) and I like having someone close by to play with. My favorite toys are still my babies and books. And unfortunately, those combined don't leave me much room on my chair.

I like to look at books with animal pictures.

So far I recognize and know the sounds for....

dog, pig, lion, monkey, sheep, duck, and horse

(the horse is a combo of dog and lion) :)

I've mastered the skill of destroying a room in under 10 seconds.

However, I am happy to put everything back when I'm finished!

Lately, I've really enjoyed spending time with other kids! Whether it's my cousins or friends, babies and big kids are so fun to be around. Somehow when I'm with them, I suddenly feel encouraged to practice all of my tricks!

I only have two teeth, however that doesn't stop me from eating everything...I love peanut butter, anything with cinnamon, all types of fruit, veggies, pasta and anything sweet!

I've started using a few signs during meal time, and this has helped everyone understand me a bit better. Sometimes I get so anxious I do them all at once and confuse myself and everyone else too! Right now I know...all done, milk, more, and please.

13-14 months

Story time after my bath is my favorite!

Speaking of bath, I LOVE the water! Each week I discover a new toy in the tub, that I chase, throw and dunk!

I finally pulled up in my bed at 13 months! This was a big day for my parents and me!

I'm starting to pull up on furniture, but I'm not too interested in cruising yet.

Early summer BBQ! I love watching my friends!

I love to examine my toys.

Teddy and I are pretty cute together...I think before long, we'll be quite the team (he's super strong/ sturdy and I am a jabber mouth).

Also, I love to look at books, especially ones with realistic pictures!

Our street hosted the 4th of July parade!

Daddy helped me decorate my wagon for the big event!

I kept him busy with my quick hands...he had to use 3 different tapes to make it all stick!

Over the last couple of months, we've been watching our new home transform into the amazing space we envisioned from the beginning. I think our family and friends thought we were a bit crazy to take on this "small" project, but all along we've had a vision for this homely home!

It all started back in January...Bret got the bug to pack up and move again for the third time in 4 years!! With that said, I thought he was crazy, but sure enough the house search began, and two weeks later we bought the one and only house we toured, and sold our home a month later! This house is what we've dreamed of...it needs everything and over time we can slowly make it our "forever house"! The street, neighbors and surrounding area sold the deal for us!

The project started early June and hopefully will be completed in September! It's been so exciting to watch every little change! Enjoy the transformation!
