15 months

This month I've become more interested in playing with my toys...

I am willing to share (sometimes) and I like having someone close by to play with. My favorite toys are still my babies and books. And unfortunately, those combined don't leave me much room on my chair.

I like to look at books with animal pictures.

So far I recognize and know the sounds for....

dog, pig, lion, monkey, sheep, duck, and horse

(the horse is a combo of dog and lion) :)

I've mastered the skill of destroying a room in under 10 seconds.

However, I am happy to put everything back when I'm finished!

Lately, I've really enjoyed spending time with other kids! Whether it's my cousins or friends, babies and big kids are so fun to be around. Somehow when I'm with them, I suddenly feel encouraged to practice all of my tricks!

I only have two teeth, however that doesn't stop me from eating everything...I love peanut butter, anything with cinnamon, all types of fruit, veggies, pasta and anything sweet!

I've started using a few signs during meal time, and this has helped everyone understand me a bit better. Sometimes I get so anxious I do them all at once and confuse myself and everyone else too! Right now I know...all done, milk, more, and please.

13-14 months

Story time after my bath is my favorite!

Speaking of bath, I LOVE the water! Each week I discover a new toy in the tub, that I chase, throw and dunk!

I finally pulled up in my bed at 13 months! This was a big day for my parents and me!

I'm starting to pull up on furniture, but I'm not too interested in cruising yet.

Early summer BBQ! I love watching my friends!

I love to examine my toys.

Teddy and I are pretty cute together...I think before long, we'll be quite the team (he's super strong/ sturdy and I am a jabber mouth).

Also, I love to look at books, especially ones with realistic pictures!

Our street hosted the 4th of July parade!

Daddy helped me decorate my wagon for the big event!

I kept him busy with my quick hands...he had to use 3 different tapes to make it all stick!

Over the last couple of months, we've been watching our new home transform into the amazing space we envisioned from the beginning. I think our family and friends thought we were a bit crazy to take on this "small" project, but all along we've had a vision for this homely home!

It all started back in January...Bret got the bug to pack up and move again for the third time in 4 years!! With that said, I thought he was crazy, but sure enough the house search began, and two weeks later we bought the one and only house we toured, and sold our home a month later! This house is what we've dreamed of...it needs everything and over time we can slowly make it our "forever house"! The street, neighbors and surrounding area sold the deal for us!

The project started early June and hopefully will be completed in September! It's been so exciting to watch every little change! Enjoy the transformation!

Family Vacation to South Carolina

Well, it's never too late to add pictures...these were taken in April when the Knighton crew went to South Carolina! The boys spent the majority of the week at the Masters tournament in Augusta, but the rest of us enjoyed exploring life in the south! Can't wait to go back again soon!

Beach day...this was my first time playing in the sand and splashing in the ocean. I LOVED the sand but hated the ocean.

Hmm...I think I'll have a taste.

While we were here, I cut my first set of teeth!

My cousins are such amazing friends to me! We played, swam, laughed and enjoyed every minute together!

Happy 1st Birthday Olivia

Happy Birthday to our baby girl!! Her first birthday was filled with magical moments and many reflections on an amazing year! Olivia has changed our lives and brought so much joy to our family!

Today was a great day for me. It stared with a special lunch and then dessert with my family. Momo bought me a special hat for my celebration, but I wasn't so sure about wearing it. My cake was delicious...I loved the icing!

My cousins loved watching me eat my cake. I was very careful and well-mannered. Mom and dad are curious if I'm much of a sweet person?!

I had a wonderful time celebrating with my family!

This month we moved into our new home (Momo and Bopbop's house). I've had fun exploring, playing and chasing their dog, Remi!

We'll be living here until our new house is complete...possibly late August!

I like playing in silly places.

Silly smiles...my personality is really shining these days!

I love to be outside! On our walks we listen for dogs, cars and lawn mowers. Lately if I hear a dog barking, I'll bark back.

It's been an amazing year! Happy birthday to me!

11 months

We are holding onto this last stretch of baby life, although Livy is showing us all the signs that she's no longer our tiny little Doodlebug anymore! We have had a great month exploring, learning new tricks, trying new foods, and watching for signs of spring! Here are a few of our highlights!

I get to see my Angie in Kansas City! We have had fun playing, going to lunch and snuggling! We are so glad she's here for a short time, and we all are hoping she stays in KC forever!!

These days, I decide what I want to play with! I love to search for the perfect toy!

Each morning we spend time in my room getting ready for the day. I no longer like being on my changing table for very long, so mom strips me down and lets me explore while she picks my outfit. Sometimes she takes too long, so I have to entertain myself! The other day I discovered my stuffed animals, and Mommy caught me giving all sorts of kisses to my "Olivia" doll.

This baby is my favorite toy! She makes me soooo happy!!

Now that I'm beginning to explore, I 've discovered some new spots in our house...

the bathroom is a fun place to visit because I like to watch myself in the mirror. I'm not quite sure I realize I'm looking at myself, but I do know that I love what I see!

We've had a great month outside! My instant reaction when I get outside is to open my mouth so wide and catch the cool breeze!

We've been taking walks and looking for all the signs of spring...my favorite change outside is getting to play in the grass! If I was allowed, I would gather all the leaves and acorns and put them in my mouth!

Meet my very best friend...Daddy! I love him soo much!

Each night when he gets him home, no matter what I'm doing, I drop everything and play with him until the day is over!

Soon enough I will be pulling up to stand! I'm constantly practicing this new skill. In fact, sometimes I don't fall asleep in my crib right away because I'm too busy going up and down!

Happy baby!

Gracie and I have so much fun together! She now knows me by name and if I'm not around she will look for me saying, "Oooliviiiaa". On this particular day, I had more fun watching her explore my room. I know soon enough she will be teaching me all sorts of fun games!

"What is the crazy lady doing to my bedroom? So far she's pulled all of my clothes off the hangers, and now she's on a hunt for something else to play with..."
